Drainage design and erosion control are critical to any transportation project in the built environment.
“Drainage design involves understanding the state standards to which the project must be designed,” says Amy Wazenegger, PE.
“For example,” says Amy, “with a roadway drainage design project, in addition to the engineering we take into consideration public safety, public convenience, constructability, and operation and maintenance costs.” There are many facets to drainage and erosion control design that are important fundamentals in every project.
